melissa & biren live in d.c.  when they came down for a family visit, we decided to shoot their engagement session downtown charlotte.  what we did NOT expect was the weather to be -30 degrees…well…okay…it wasn’t “officially” that cold…but it felt like it.  poor melissa…she was such a TROOPER!  mad props to you sweets…i know you were so cold!  we did shoot inside as much as we could, but did brave the cold for a few photos…i think they were worth it…so did they!  enjoy these and stay tuned for melissa & b’s FABULOSITYYYYYYYYY hindu wedding.  really…it’s GORGEOUS!  xoxo…t

love love love these two!!!  we had the best time shooting their engagement session at the national whitewater center.  wow…that place is the COOLEST if you have never been!  we were lucky enough to have the “riverbed” empty for some really awesome photos.  a HUGE thanks so cortenay matters, with carolina wedding design, for introducing me to this fab couple.  and another shout out to miss kymm mclean, of who’s the fairest, who rocks my world with her mad make-up artistry talent!  *mwah* girls!!!

i would say, “all i can say is wow!”, but i am just brimming with LOVE and LOTS of words for this session!  when i first met meghan & jordan we instantly “clicked”.  okay…okay…that pun was TOTALLY intended and TOTALLY cheesey…you can all stop laughing now.    seriously…when i met them we really did seem like we had known each other forever.  meghan and i have a deep rooted appreciated for all things vintage.  she is incorporating vintage glassware, hobnail, and lots of goodies into her wedding decor.  so what better way to show her guests what to expect than to have a vintage inspired engagement session?!  another thing we all have in common is a love of coca cola.  now all of my friends reading this, and you know who you are…you all know how ADDICTED i am to that pop.  jeez louise…that’s the first thing i do when i get a break during a wedding reception…head over to the bar for a coke!  nothing better!  anywhoooo…back to our regularly scheduled program…   meghan did a fantastic job styling the shoot.  i helped her a little by bringing a few trinkets and what-nots.  it was a wonderful collaboration and so much fun!!!  her dad, sweetie that he is, rented the ’57 chevrolet for the shoot!  guys, if you ever need to rent one of these babies, let me know, i have the info!!!

aren’t kristin & dave THE cutest couple?????  yeah…i think so too!  kristin wanted to find a really beautiful field of tall grasses…what she didn’t expect to find was a goat on a rope…okay…that was a little inside joke.  you can ask their stylist, mrs. lindsey regan thorne, of be pretty!  she will tell ya the truth!  hehehe…love that girl AND her talent!  can’t wait for our awesome low country wedding in charleston guys!!!  xoxo…t

when driving up kellyn’s parent’s estate in waxhaw…i started getting butterflies.  i knew this session was going to be phenominal.  the grounds of their property were EXTRAORDINARILY gorgeous.  the lighting was perfect.  as i walked into their home, i heard kellyn, bennett, & heather laughing away.  there are moments that simply re-enforce my decision to become a wedding photographer.  this was one of them. 

heather bryson, of carolina wedding design, has mad skills.  she knows how to put her clients at ease, how to ease her clients nerves, and is an awesome right hand man during a shoot.  priceless for me.  she is working her magic for kellyn & bennett’s wedding, so i KNOW it’s gonna be sensational.  xoxo heather!
