happy happy new year friends! to say that i am blessed beyond belief is truly an understatement. from an awesome family, wonderful friends, and totally fantastic clients, God has blessed me with immeasurable gifts. so to ring in the new year, i wanted to share some of my favorite photos from this past year. peruse, enjoy, and contemplate what 2012 has in store for all of us. i feel like it’s going to be a great new year…xoxo…t

hello my friends!  thanks for tuning in today to view allison & ethan’s engagement photos.  for this session we went out to lake norman.  allison’s parents own a charming lake house that worked perfect for our vision.  cortenay matters, of carolina wedding design, and kymm mclean, of who’s the fairest, were there to style & make our lovely allison up to perfection!

since ethan proposed to allison out in las vegas, we thought it would be super fun to have them play some poker with some of the chips they have collected along their journeys.  i wish i had their collection, so much fun!!!  next, allison & ethan love to listen to old records together, which i think is utterly dreamy. (i remember pulling out my record player as a kid and listening to one of my favs, the monkees…i love the scratch scratch scratch of an old record player…but i digress.  )  we ended out the session by going outside and playing in the water…well…on allison’s dad’s speedboat…it was a BEAUTY!!!  as the sun was setting we captured some stunning photos…the light was incredible!

melissa & biren live in d.c.  when they came down for a family visit, we decided to shoot their engagement session downtown charlotte.  what we did NOT expect was the weather to be -30 degrees…well…okay…it wasn’t “officially” that cold…but it felt like it.  poor melissa…she was such a TROOPER!  mad props to you sweets…i know you were so cold!  we did shoot inside as much as we could, but did brave the cold for a few photos…i think they were worth it…so did they!  enjoy these and stay tuned for melissa & b’s FABULOSITYYYYYYYYY hindu wedding.  really…it’s GORGEOUS!  xoxo…t

love love love these two!!!  we had the best time shooting their engagement session at the national whitewater center.  wow…that place is the COOLEST if you have never been!  we were lucky enough to have the “riverbed” empty for some really awesome photos.  a HUGE thanks so cortenay matters, with carolina wedding design, for introducing me to this fab couple.  and another shout out to miss kymm mclean, of who’s the fairest, who rocks my world with her mad make-up artistry talent!  *mwah* girls!!!

i would say, “all i can say is wow!”, but i am just brimming with LOVE and LOTS of words for this session!  when i first met meghan & jordan we instantly “clicked”.  okay…okay…that pun was TOTALLY intended and TOTALLY cheesey…you can all stop laughing now.    seriously…when i met them we really did seem like we had known each other forever.  meghan and i have a deep rooted appreciated for all things vintage.  she is incorporating vintage glassware, hobnail, and lots of goodies into her wedding decor.  so what better way to show her guests what to expect than to have a vintage inspired engagement session?!  another thing we all have in common is a love of coca cola.  now all of my friends reading this, and you know who you are…you all know how ADDICTED i am to that pop.  jeez louise…that’s the first thing i do when i get a break during a wedding reception…head over to the bar for a coke!  nothing better!  anywhoooo…back to our regularly scheduled program…   meghan did a fantastic job styling the shoot.  i helped her a little by bringing a few trinkets and what-nots.  it was a wonderful collaboration and so much fun!!!  her dad, sweetie that he is, rented the ’57 chevrolet for the shoot!  guys, if you ever need to rent one of these babies, let me know, i have the info!!!
