now for a little commentary…
trista…you are a rockstar.

the human pyramid…totally their idea…it was HILARIOUS!!!

ATTENTION: yummy cake alert!!!

you can totally see the love on trista’s face during their first dance…what a moment!!!

epic last shot! congratulations guys!!!

since we are ALL hating this summer heat, i thought i would share a wonderful wedding that will cool us down and make us wish for those milder months…meet trista & andrew. trista & i have been friends since WAYYYY back in college. we both attended ASU together and had the MOST fun! she has one of the most kind, gentle, and free-spirited souls i know. trista teaches sustainable agriculture in virginia and loves to get dirty in the fields! andrew is perfectly matched for trista. he is also super kind, a hopeless romantic, and absolutely adores trista. andrew owns a consulting company that helps families & companies learn about sustainability…see i told you they were perfect together!
these two love birds decided to get married down at the coast of the outerbanks. with all of their close friends & family in attendance, it was by far one of the most heart felt & sincere weddings i have ever been in attendance. trista & andrew incorporated some really special touches into their ceremony. they collected all kinds of mini bells that they gave to their guests to ring during the ceremony. then they both played moon river to each other…trista sang & played the trumpet, and andrew on the guitar. it was really incredible!!!
after the ceremony we headed over to their reception where they had a new year’s day smorgasbord…black eyed peas, collards, cornbread, deviled eggs, quiche, fruit salad, and all the fixins’. truly…i.was.in.heaven. yes…i am southern to the core…sue me.
and oh.my.word…their good friends made their wedding cake, which was a chocolate beet cake with a whipped topping. i have been dreaming of that cake ever since then. seriously.
i really could go on and on about this wedding weekend…but i will let the photos speak for themselves…with a tid bit here or there…enjoy these as much as i enjoyed documenting this wedding!!! all my love to you both trista and andrew…congratulations on a beautiful marriage and best wishes on a lovely life together…xoxo…t
p.s. this is just part one of their wedding…stay tuned for part 2…good stuff.

welcome back!
so glad you could make it! hehehe… so….on the morning of the wedding, the weather report was calling for 84 degree heat, and possible thunderstorms. NOOOOOOOOOO! i know alot of prayers were said that day, and thank you Lord…they were answered. the temperature dropped a good 15 degrees, and a sweet breeze ensued to cool everyone off. we all couldn’t believe it! the clouds created a nice overcast, which in turn lent for beautiful photography light. after the first look & romantic shots, the bridal party met kori & i downtown for their shots. we had a ball! i love this group of guys & gals…so much fun and simply adorable! and come on…those bridesmaids dresses & seer-sucker suits…love!!!! following the formals, we all made our way back to the gorgeous vendue inn and off we went to the ceremony & reception venue, dunes west. the grounds there were perfect for the ceremony. i loved the large tree which kristin & dave got married under.
sara hosch, of southern protocol, was the event coordinator of kristin & dave’s wedding. she did a FABULOUS job with everything. here are the other fabulous vendors that made this wedding possible:

p.s. in case you missed their engagement photos, check them out here. and stay tuned for kristin’s bridal session…it’s outrageously SINFUL!!!

when kristin & dave first came to me and told me of their wedding plans i was thrilled! a low-country charleston wedding, seer-sucker suits, a gown to die for…and two beautiful people in love. the ingredients for something incredible. and incredible it was. my second shooter, kori hoffman (you are a total God send you know…talent…talent…talent!), drove down to charleston early on friday to scout out locations for kristin & dave’s first look. we found the most PERFECT spot that looked straight out of the secret garden. girls…if you have ever contemplated having a first look, you really should take a look at kristin & dave’s first look. it was sweet, sincere, full of tears and smiles, and so special. now, the really great thing about a first look, is the opportunity for more time for romantic photos. we were able to peruse the charming downtown streets of charleston and really take advantage of the cities beautiful backdrops. i could have shot there ALL day.
this wedding will be broken down into 2 separate posts, there were just too many photos to put into one. i hope you guys enjoy these photos as much as i have. i am enamored.
xoxo…t
