lydia & jeremy – part 2 | charlotte wedding photographer

welcome friends, to part 2 of lydia & jeremy’s wedding! :)  i’ll start off by saying, that the attention to details at this wedding was top notch!  heather bryson, of carolina wedding design, hit a total home run with this wedding.  she is divine, and it totally shows in her work.  i loved the color scheme of the wedding, two of my favorites, green & purple, very regal.  but it was definitely off-set with the beautiful palette of cremes & whites.  so yummy!

lydia & jeremy wanted their guests to really enjoy the reception.  i thought the choice of food was so great!  some of their favorites, mac & cheese, mini grilled cheeses with tomato soup, and the waiters were even passing out french fries with ketchup!  so flippin’ cool!!! :)

after eating the guests all had a ball with not just 1 form of entertainment, but 2!  the band, the fabulous kays, got the party started with some awesome live music.  then split second finished the night off, EVERYONE was one dance floor!  and i mean EVERYONE…this bridal party & their guests were having so much fun…it was great to watch and capture!!!

a huge thanks to my second hand girl, rebekah fancher.  love you so much!  kudos!!!! :)

lydia & jeremy, i adore the two of you.  thanks for letting me become part of your lives, it means so much!!!  have fun up north and please stay in touch loves!!!  xoxo-t

lydia & jeremy – married part 1 | charlotte wedding photographer

so just off the bat, there is no way that i can blog this wedding with just one post, it’s a two parter!  ha! :)  when heather bryson, of carolina wedding design, contacted me about this wedding, i knew i was going to be in for a treat.  heather is mucho talented and i was so excited to be able to work with her and her company for the first time.

you may remember lydia & jeremy from their fun zoo engagement session (you can check it out here), or from lydia’s 2DF bridal session (which you can view here).  this is one adorable and quite zany couple!   they are always having fun, laughing, and making the funniest little faces.  while i was editing these wedding photos, i tell you, i could not help but re-live all the little moments from the day.  i was smiling, giggling, and down-right laughing at some of these photos.

heather played an integral part in helping lydia find her dress, which was purchased at the ultra posh j majors bridal.  it fit lydia to a “t”.  absolutely stunning and sooooo ultra feminine.  as lydia was getting dressed, one of my favorite shots of the day is watching all of her bridesmaids helping button her up from behind.  they all played a part in helping her, which i LOVE!!! :)  lydia, you were breath-taking…absolutely.

beka, aka rivkah, my second shooter for this event, went over to the hilton to shoot the boys getting prepared and some of jeremy.  FAB job my dear!!! :)  and no wonder lydia loves you so much jeremy, you are precious!!!

lydia & jeremy got married at  river hills community church, in lake wylie.  one of the most special moments during the ceremony was when lydia’s brother sang.  who knew he had such a KILLER voice.  between his voice, the harp, and the violin, i swear i had goose bumps.  it really was incredible.

after the ceremony, THE alan daly, of crown alley films (heart you alan, you are a peach!), took lydia & jeremy off on a little excursion to take some romantic shots.  we headed up to the HUGE palisades sign, where there was some super yummy sun-flare hitting.  then we hopped back in alan’s car and found a quaint and quiet little trail that worked perfect for more romantics.  it was ONLY 150 degrees farenheit, ha!, but our bride and groom were major troopers.  poor jeremy, sweat was rolling off him!  but from the look of the photos, you wouldn’t have known it!

so, this concludes part one of my synopsis of the day…stay tuned for some reception eye-candy folks!!!  xoxo-t

lydia has the best laugh…look at how she smiles w/her eyes… ;)

okay, so sorry, but i could not decide which of these ring shots i love best…what do you guys think???

what did i tell you?  precious.

from one of my FAVORITE florists…the place for flowers .  awesome bouquet!

this is katherine, lydia’s sister and maid of honor.  isn’t she a beauty??? ;)

i *heart* this family so much.

wow.  check out the looks on those two faces.  perfect.

this is clay, lydia’s brother.  voice of  bocelli, seriously.

priceless.

so flippin’ sweet. :)

kim & mike – wedding | charlotte wedding photographer

who would have thought the first day i met little mikey, that one day i would have shot his wedding?   you see, mike and i are cousins by marriage.  so when mike called me to ask to photograph his wedding, i was honored.  mike married kim, a most beautiful and super sweet young lady.  the festivities took place at the gorgeous Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens.  when i arrived, the day was looking fabulous.  gorgeous weather, albeit rather hot & humid-suprise suprise for a nice summer wedding:)  i got there early so i could enjoy walking the grounds before my scheduled time to start.  you see, this was my first time at daniel stowe, and it was breath-taking.  the orchid conservatory…gasp…i could have spent all day in there.   but alas, i am getting off-track, my ADD kicking in!  ha!

so the first time i saw kim that day, wow, now SHE was breath-taking.  i loved loved loved her head piece, which was made by Untamed Petals.  girls…if you are looking for something really different for bridal headpieces, belts, combs, you MUST check out this online store…to DIE for!!! :)  and mrs. lindsey regan thorne, girl…you did a FAB job with kim’s hair & the girls…very intricate work…love love love!!!

as you meander around this blog, you will see some of the most gorgeous…yes, i know i keep repeating “gorgeous”, but there just isn’t another word to accurately describe other than that, flowers.  taylor o’shields, with The Place for Flowers, did a remarkable job incorporating kim’s vintage style with her own vintage bottles, milk glass vases, & birdcages.  the color palette was awesome, all the different colors of purples & magentas, lovely!!!  kudos taylor;)

the girls from Blush Wedding & Events, tonya & irene, totally brought everything together for a festive event.  they are WONDERFUL!!!

the only snafu that happened was the weather.  as i stated earlier, the weather started out nice and sunny.  however…the gods of rain & thunder showed their faces, and the gals from blush had to go to plan b.  the ceremony was supposed to take place in the white garden, but alas, the rain & thunder shooed us all inside.  no worries though…the ceremony went off without a hitch, and was so sweet to boot!

a SUPER DUPER special thanks to my right hand gal, kori hoffman.  you blow me away with your creativity and eye…thanks a million sweets!!!

so, my friends, enjoy the post…there’s much eye-candy to behold.  and….i know….i went a LITTLE overboard with blogging all the flowers…but they were just sooo flippin’ pretty…sue me…i love flowers.  ha!  xoxo-t

christy & kyle – married | charlotte wedding photographer

christy & kyle got married on a super special day, my anniversary! :)  so of course i have a super special place for them in my heart.  you may remember christy & kyle from their blogged engagement session here.

the day was gorgeous.  christy was gorgeous…and kyle very handsome.  i love that christy didn’t have a huge bridal party.  but her closest gal pals all dressed in her color theme, yellow.  i love it when my brides think outside of the box.  makes for super cool photos that are distinct to their own wedding.  they got married at Caldwell Memorial Presbyterian Church, and had their reception at the super swanky Bentley’s on 27.  their romantic photos were taken downstairs in the charlotte plaza…sinfully stunning!!!  i absolutely love it when you can feel the emotions between a bride and groom.  you can totally tell how much christy & kyle adore each other in their romantics.  lovely. :)

the fabulous Jenny Cook of Jenny J Cook Events planned & co-ordinated their wedding.  she is amazing girls…a must have!

and super kudos to one of my favorite right-hand girls, rivkah fancher, hugs and many kisses!!!

anna & jim – peninsula club wedding | charlotte wedding photographer

anna has to be one of the most beautiful, sweet, and down-to-earth brides i have ever had the opportunity to work with.  and her now hubby jim, is TOTALLY head-over-heels in love with her!  they got married in may at the gorgeous Peninsula Club on lake norman.  carla, the owner & principal planner for Style Perfect Events totally outdid herself with all of the decorations.  she even hand-made the feather brooches on the back of ALL of the chairs…girls…that’s dedication to details for sure!!!  the bridal party had a ball during preparations, which only extended into the reception.  you should have seen nan, anna’s younger sister.  she performed a rendition of one of shakira’s songs for anna & jim during the reception.  everyone was cracking up, but seriously, girl, you can MOVE!!! :)

a huge thank you to my second shooter & right hand girl, kori hoffman.  my life without you would be boring and void of happiness. :)
